On Sept. 24,thPeopleTree hosted a benefit party for Next Up Foundation. The idea was to raise as much money as possible and donate 100% of the proceeds to Next Up. The event was divided in two phases. The first phase was from 1p.m. to 6p.m. at the Volcom warehouse (skate park) in Costa Mesa,CA. It was a fun, family oriented atmosphere with skateboarding, live music, appearances by pro-skaters as well as free drinks and food provided by Chronic Tacos and Laventinas Big Cheese Pizza. The second phase was held at Location 1980 in Costa Mesa for a 21+ crowd. Local bands Old Scratch and Snakebit Drifters performed at the event and Chronic Tacos catered to the crowd. Kevin Yoches, drummer of both local band Snakebit Drifters and Old Scratch, said, “It’s an honor to be a part of something so much bigger,” well said Kevin, well said.
