Watch Carlos Ribeiro’s visit to Next Up

On October 13, 2016, we had the pleasure of hosting professional skateboarder Carlos Ribeiro at Next Up Foundation. Approximately 80 local skaters and Next Up participants gathered at our skatepark, excited to meet our special guest. Carlos skated hard, and according to him, he really enjoyed our park. After several autographs and photographs, we went inside our building to watch Carlos’ LRG ‘1947’ video part, the part that would launch his professional career. Afterwards, we had an interview session with Carlos and learned about his home country Brasil, if he attended school, how many countries he visited while filming his part, and more. Carlos helped us learn a bit more about geography, determination, focus, goal-setting, and why you shouldn’t ever give up. We would like to thank Carlos for taking the time to come visit us, and all his sponsors for supporting such an amazing individual.
