Special Guest Israel “Izzy” Dejene – Megabi Skate

On Thursday Oct.20th, we had a very special guest: Israel Dejene from Megabi Skate in Ethiopia. Izzy has been in Los Angeles taking care business for Megabi, and we invited him to come speak to our participants. Megabi Skate is a nonprofit organization founded by Izzy. Their mission is to enhance the lives of the kids from their community by providing skateboarding activities, music, dance, access to computers and more. We learned from Izzy that we don’t need much to give back, and that each day of our lives is a new chapter, just like a book, and we have the power to decide how we want to write each of them.
