Pro Guests Kelvin Hoefler & Paul Hart

On August 29^th, 2018, Next Up had the privilege of having professional skateboarder guests Kelvin Hoefler and Paul Hart, along with team mate and friend up and comer amateur skater Austin Heilman. One of the great opportunities of being part of Next Up is having pro skaters, who we can call friends, come and support our efforts by giving our participants the opportunity to skate and hang out with them.

Kelvin Hoefler, a Two-Time Gold Winner of the X Games, showed tremendous enthusiasm for being at Next Up. Paul Hart, fairly new pro, accompanied by Austin Heilman were both very enthusiastic as well. The Colours Collective team provided tons of giveaways, which is always comedic and great to see the kids get hyped on some free stuff. After our skate session we went inside and watched some of Hoefler and Hart’s skate video parts. Once our mini cinematic adventure ended we had a Q&A session between our guests and participants. We’ve got to learn some great stuff about both skaters —from Paul Hart’s origins to the size truck and wheel Kelvin Hoefler rides. In the end we had Kelvin Hoefler signing and hanging up his current board he was riding on the wall; a tradition at Next Up that we have every pro guest go through when visiting our Success Lab.
