On June 27th we had the pleasure to host some of the kids from KidWorks of Santa Ana. KidWorks is a nonprofit organization that offers a safe environment and provides a series of programs for hundreds of kids and families. Our KidWorks’ friends arrived at Next Up around 4:00 pm and were welcomed by our founder, Vinicius “Vina” Tinoco, our Volunteer Coordinator Ivan Velasquez, and some of the Next Up kids. Vina gave them a full tour of our facility and explained them what we do at Next Up. After the tour, we all headed to the skatepark and enjoyed some fun skateboarding time. Because the kids were so appreciative of everything, we decided to secure KidsWorks 5 spots in our griptape art workshop with legendary skater and artist, Chad Muska on July 11th. We are looking forward to more collaborative work with KidWorks and other like-minded nonprofits.
