10 Next Up participants had the privilege to participate in a Google Sketchup workshop, hosted by the founder of Keen Ramps, Cory Keen. The focus of the workshop was to educate students on 3D modeling concepts, and how they can be applied to skateboarding, along with other practical uses.
Cory began the workshop with sharing his background, academic achievements and his passion for skateboarding. Cory also discussed how he leveraged all three of these components and transitioned them into building ramps professionally. Much like 3D building software – participants began to see the bigger picture of how utilizing multiple disciplines can be used to tackle individual problems.
According to the survey conducted after the workshop, all the participants were excited to learn something new. Cory personally reviewed all of the designs, and special awards were given to the following participants (in no particular order):
Kevin M.
Wiliam C.
Oscar C.
We can’t wait to have Cory back and educate another group of participants about 3D modeling, education and passion!
