Former professional skateboarder, English teacher from the LA Unified School District and founder of Wheelbase Mag Marcus Bandy (@bandiesel) volunteered his time and knowledge to teach Next Up participants how to craft articles and content for digital magazines, blogs and social media outlets.
The workshop started with participants introducing themselves – Marcus then shared his career and some accomplishments he has achieved. During the workshop, Marcus focused on story telling through Instagram, which the participants voted the most relevant platform. Having an online presence along with an understanding of content is created in this digital age is an imperative skill set to develop.
