A graphic design workshop gives kids insight on what graphic design is and its importance in skateboarding. From logos, to skateboards, clothing, magazine ads, graphic design is a key part of any company that visually communicates with their audience. For our 3rd workshop with Andres Alfonso, we wanted our participants to describe their personalities to the best of their abilities using markers, colored pencils, and cut magazines. The youth had to present their work, like any other graphic designer, and they had to explain the decisions they made in order to self describe them. After explaining their work, each participant had to pick their favorite design, except their own, which led Brandyt H. to win the best design. Thank you so much Andres for coming again, and for giving our Next Up youth the chance to learn a bit more about the skateboard industry and themselves.
