DJ Workshop

Next Up held its first DJ workshop on February 25th.  Vincent Ruiz, one of Next Up’s board members, put together an workshop for about 20 participants, the majority of whom had never even seen turntables before.  Vincent broke down the art of DJ’ing, teaching participants aspects of music, including equipment, scratching techniques, and a breakdown of hip-hop.  We would like to thank Vince for organizing this event, along with DJ Quest9 and DJ Abel Sisneros for donating their turntables and time to teach our students!  Thanks, guys!  We can’t wait until the next one!
